Assistant Professor Slavko Rakočević, PhD, professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the Mediterranean University, and the President of the Institute of Internal Auditors of Montenegro, held a lecture in front of more than 150 delegates at the International Conference of Internal Audit, organized by the National Institute of Internal Auditors of Macedonia (IIA Macedonia) from 25 October to 26 October 2018.
Professor Rakočević held a lecture on the topic "EVEN COMPLIANCE PROGRAMMES THAT NEED TO BE IMPLEMENTED IN THE FUTURE IN ORDER TO PREVENT FRAUDS IN THE COMPANY"
During the conference, a Cooperation Agreement was signed between this professional organization and the Macedonian Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA Macedonia), a professional body that promotes the best professional practices in the development of internal audit in Macedonia - a full member of the world organization of internal auditors (Global IIA) and the European organization of internal auditors (ECIIA Brussels).
The Agreement was signed with the aim of improving the internal audit profession through mutual recognition of continuous education and joint organization of future conferences, seminars and other professional activities of importance for the promotion of the internal audit profession in Montenegro and Macedonia.
On behalf of IIA Macedonia and IIAMNE, the Agreement was signed by Biljana Sekulovska, President of the Institute of Internal Auditors of Macedonia and Assistant Professor Slavko Rakocevic, PhD, President of the Institute of Internal Auditors of Montenegro.
During the conference, Prof. Rakočević met with Ms Jasna Turkovic, an official of the national Institute of Internal Auditors of Croatia, Ms Polona Pergar Guzaj, President of the Institute of Internal Auditors of Slovenia, and Mr Kemal Tapkan, Vice-President of the Turkish IIA, who accepted the invitation to attend the next International Conference of Internal Audit, which will be organized by the Institute of Internal Auditors of Montenegro in October 2019.
